Growing up I was known for constantly being on the trampoline, cartwheeling and handstand walking all over the house, and running around outside at all hours of the day. That love for movement has continued into my adult life, and CrossFit has provided me the perfect balance of work and play to keep me active! I began CrossFit around 2013 with my dad, joining him for classes and learning the fundamentals of lifting in addition to building upon my foundation of cardio and gymnastics from years of sports. I dabbled in everything, but stuck with gymnastics, cheerleading, and softball from basically the time I could walk until I graduated high school, and I even cheered for 2 years in college at Elon! My relationship with exercise has ranged from CrossFit to more classic bodybuilding type lifting to running, but I always come back to the box with a love for the movements, the community, and the atmosphere.

Feats of Strength/Endurance

Book lover. Cat mom to sweet Missy. Sweet treat aficionado. Oh, and 6:47 Annie!

While I have been involved in CrossFit and fitness in general for many years, I gained a new perspective on health, exercise, and life in 2024 when I suddenly lost my dad. CrossFit was and always will be something that I cherished with him, and the gym has proven to be a safe haven for me in many ways following that loss. From the clarity, sense of accomplishment, and satisfaction I get from a workout to the support and joy that can always be found within the gym, CrossFit has provided incredibly far beyond the benefits to health that people normally associate with a workout space. The physical, mental, and emotional strength that can be built inside of a gym is unmatched and is my favorite form of therapy!
